Terms of Service

DreamWake 2 for iOS · Last updated: 2026-10-01

These terms apply when you use DreamWake. By using the app you agree to them. "We" and "us" mean the developer of DreamWake.

1. What DreamWake is

DreamWake is a dream journal and a guided program for remembering dreams and practising lucid dreaming. You can speak or write your dreams, and subscribers can ask for an analysis that points out the images in a dream and asks one to three questions about them. DreamWake never tells you what a dream means.

2. Not medical or psychological advice

DreamWake is not a medical device and does not give medical, psychological or therapeutic advice. It does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you have concerns about your sleep, dreams or mental health, talk to a doctor or other qualified professional.

3. Sleep and safety

4. Subscription

Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules. If your subscription ends, your journal stays readable and you can still export all your dreams.

5. Your content

Your dreams are yours. They are stored on your device and in your own iCloud, not with us. When you allow the AI features, you allow us to send that dream's text, or a short scene made from it, to our AI providers only to produce the analysis and the dream's picture for you. We don't claim ownership of your dreams and don't use them for anything else. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what goes where.

6. AI analysis and pictures

The analysis and the dream pictures are made by AI models and can be wrong, incomplete or odd. Treat them as a prompt for your own reflection, not as a fact about you. Pictures are limited to a few per day. We may change the AI providers or models, or change or pause these features.

7. Fair use

Use DreamWake for your own personal journaling. Don't try to break, overload, reverse engineer or misuse the app or our API, and don't use it for anything illegal. We may block access to the API for abuse or fraud.

8. Backups

Your journal lives on your device and in iCloud. We cannot recover it for you. Keep iCloud turned on for DreamWake, and export your dreams now and then if they matter to you.

9. Availability

We work to keep DreamWake reliable, but we can't guarantee that every feature is always available, that transcription is always accurate, or that a particular AI model stays available.

10. Limitation of liability

DreamWake is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, inaccurate transcriptions or analyses, service interruptions, or indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

11. Apple

You get DreamWake through the App Store, so Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above. If you keep using DreamWake after a change, the new terms apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
